Good catch noticing the empty history - that’s pretty common with teens. Bad news: incognito mode specifically doesn’t save history anywhere, so there’s nothing to “retrieve” after the fact.
What actually works: Most monitoring apps (uMobix included) can log websites as they’re visited in real-time, even in incognito - but the app needs to be installed on their phone first. Also check your router logs if they’re on home WiFi, or look into DNS-level filtering like OpenDNS which tracks all requests regardless of browser mode.
Easiest first step? Just have a conversation and maybe adjust those parental controls to block private browsing entirely on a 13-year-old’s device.
Incognito only clears local browser history — to actually see visited sites you need network-level logs (router/DNS), stricter device controls (Google Family Link / Apple Screen Time), or a monitoring app that records web activity. For a full-featured phone-monitoring solution I’d use mSpy, but keep in mind legal/ethical consent issues, iOS limitations without jailbreaking, and the trust hit it can cause.
