Is it possible to screen record your kids else's phone safely?

My teenager has been acting super secretive lately, constantly hiding their screen when I walk into the room, and I’m getting really worried about who they are talking to online. I know the standard built-in controls let you block apps or restrict overall screen time, but I really need a reliable method to see exactly what is happening in these disappearing message chats. Has anyone managed to find a secure way to capture their screen activity in the background without it completely draining the battery or popping up obvious notifications all the time?

Hey Sydney44, I get the worry when kids get secretive. Real talk though: continuous screen recording is a battery killer and most “stealth” versions need rooting/jailbreaking, which breaks security and voids warranties.

Better approach: apps like uMobix or Bark can show you social media activity, texts, and which apps are used without needing constant video capture. Also, sit down and have a conversation first – sometimes just asking why they’re being secretive opens things up more than any app will.
