I’m trying to keep an eye on my teen’s DMs but can’t seem to get into their Snapchat account without the password. I’ve tried resetting it but they get notified. Any tricks to bypass that?
Hey dallas83 - straight up, there’s no legit way to “get into” their Snapchat without the password, and trying password resets will keep alerting them. Most monitoring apps (including uMobix) can track that Snapchat is being used and maybe grab some screenshots on Android, but they can’t read encrypted messages or show you DMs without physical access to set things up first.
Best move? Have an actual conversation with your teen about why you’re concerned and set up agreed-upon check-ins or use Snapchat’s Family Center feature where they can share their friend list and who they’re messaging with (not the content, but at least you see contacts).
